Time Card Calculator

Calculate hours worked from a clock-in / clock-out time, minus break minutes, plus daily and weekly pay at a given rate.

What it means

About this calculator.

Overnight shifts handled

If your clock-out time is earlier than your clock-in (like a 22:00 → 06:00 shift), the calculator automatically interprets it as crossing midnight. No need to split the shift manually.

What about overtime?

We don't auto-apply overtime here because rules vary by state and employer. If you cross 40 hours in a week, calculate the regular-rate portion at the hourly rate and add the overtime portion at 1.5× separately.

FAQ

Questions people usually have.

How should I enter a 30-minute break?

Type "30" in the break field. The calculator subtracts that from total shift minutes before computing hours.

Does this handle decimal hours like 7.5?

Yes — hours worked is shown as a decimal (e.g., 7.5), and pay is calculated against that decimal directly.
